Who we are

Hidden Deer Stays is run by Mike & Meng, the hosts of The Hidden Deer cottage in Silver Water, Ontario. This page explains what happens to the information you give us on this website.

What we collect

• When you send us a message: your name, email address, the dates and number of guests you enter, and your message.
• When you join the newsletter: your email address.

This website doesn’t use advertising or analytics cookies, and it doesn’t track you across other sites.

How we use it

• To reply to your message with availability and pricing, and to arrange your stay if you book.
• To send newsletter emails, including your first-booking discount. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any newsletter or sending us a message.

We don’t sell your information or share it with anyone for marketing.

Services that handle your information

• Formspree receives what you submit in our forms and forwards it to our inbox. It stores submissions under its own privacy policy at formspree.io.
• Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on this site, so your browser contacts Google’s servers when a page loads.
• Our web host keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to run and secure the site.

At the property

Exterior security cameras record audio and video around the cottage for safety. Their locations are listed in our house policies.

How long we keep it

We keep messages as long as we need them to answer you and to keep records of bookings. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by sending a message through the contact form.
